1. Who is responsible
The data controller for personal enquiries made through this website is Claudiu Dinu, Birmingham, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@claudiudinu.co.uk.
2. Information that may be received
If you choose to make contact, the information may include your name, email address, enquiry category, message and whether you asked to receive occasional book or project updates. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary.
3. How the enquiry form works
The form on this website prepares an email in your own email application. The website itself does not store the form submission in a website database. Your information is received only when you choose to send that email.
4. Why information is used
Information is used to respond to business, media, speaking, book-review and reader enquiries; to take steps you request before entering a possible business relationship; and, where you have actively opted in, to send occasional news about books and projects.
5. Lawful basis
Enquiries are normally handled because it is in the legitimate interests of both parties to communicate, or because you have asked for steps relating to a possible agreement. Optional news is sent only where consent has been given. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
6. Sharing and international processing
Information is not sold. It may be processed by necessary email, hosting, security or professional service providers. Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom and should use recognised safeguards where required.
7. How long information is kept
Routine enquiries are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond and maintain an appropriate business record, normally no longer than 24 months after the last meaningful contact unless a legal, contractual or safeguarding reason requires longer retention.
8. Cookies and analytics
This website does not intentionally use advertising or behavioural analytics cookies. The hosting platform may use strictly necessary technologies for security, reliability and delivery. If optional analytics or marketing tools are added later, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated first.
9. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal information; restrict or object to its use; withdraw consent; and receive certain information in a portable form. To make a request, email the address above. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
10. Third-party websites
This website links to book retailers, businesses, LinkedIn and OpenSea. Their own privacy notices apply when you visit them.
